Barrett’s training department is ready to take you to the next level. Learn the intricacies of long-range shooting and maintain your Barrett rifles at an armorer level. Offering long-range shooting courses at locations around the country, as well as armorer courses at its Murfreesboro, Tennessee, factory, Barrett has the course to fit your large-caliber training needs. Barrett will not sell to or service any California or New York government agencies, including training courses.

Course List

82A1/M107A1 Armorer

The 82A1® / M107A1® Armorer Course covers all 82 and 107 Series rifles. In house Barrett armorers teach this course and are prepared to share their unequaled knowledge of the Barrett Light .50 platform.

Long Range 50

Long Range 50 (or .416) is taught over a three and a half day period where new or experienced shooters learn the fundamentals of marksmanship used in long-range shooting. During the course participants will gain an understanding of the ballistics and data collection that correlates with engaging targets up to 1000 yards. Students will have the opportunity to engage a target at 1 mile on the last half day of the course to conclude the class.

Model 99/95 Armorer

Model 99™/95™Armorer is a half day course (4 hrs) covering everything needed to keep Barrett bolt action rifles in top operating condition including operational theory, troubleshooting and in-depth maintenance procedures for the Model 95 and Model 99™ rifles. Upon successful completion of the course, each student is presented with a certification which is valid for three years. This class will be offered one time a year, or on as requested.

Mountain Precision Rifle

Mountain Precision Rifle is a three-day course set to challenge a shooter both physically and mentally by engaging targets using tripods and natural terrain to include high angles, cross canyon engagements, advanced wind reading and data collection.

MRAD Armorer

This one-day course is geared toward MRAD® owners, law enforcement and military personnel, and gunsmiths. It covers depot level maintenance to keep these Barrett bolt action rifles in top operating condition.

Precision Rifle

Precision Rifle is taught over a three-day period for new or experienced shooters to learn the fundamentals of marksmanship and external components for successful long-range shooting.

Range Day (Former Students Only)

Barrett Range Day (Former Students Only) will be a "class" offered by Barrett to allow former students to have full use (under RSO supervision) of the ranges we use for Training Classes. We will spend one full day on a known distance range allowing you to zero and gather data any Barrett rifle you own out to 1000 yards. The second day will allow you to engage targets on an Unknown distance range. There will be no classroom instruction, or field instruction. Barrett staff will be RSO's and assist you in any questions you may have but will not be conducting class. This is suited for repeat students or those who just wish to shoot their rifles at distance.
