REC7® Build

Do you want the chance to build your own Barrett Rifle?

The REC7® Build Course covers the full assembly process of Barrett REC7® GEN II gas piston rifles over a one day (4 hr) period of instruction. Barrett in–house armorers will instruct you on the complete assembly and maintenance of your personal rifle. This course also covers dry-fire operation, troubleshooting, repair, and operator maintenance procedures.  Upon successful completion of the course, each student will be presented with a certificate of conformance for a Barrett factory built REC7® Gen II to go along with your personal rifle.

Tuition: varies by model.  If you choose a model that costs less than the tuition price, that difference will be refunded during the applicaiton review process.

Tuition includes:
•    REC7® Gen II Rifle in your choice of color, caliber and length
•    Build of materials that are included with model choice (local restrictions/laws apply)
•    Barrett M-LOK rail
•    Operator Manual / Build guide
•    Certificate of Conformance
•    Shipping fee (Lower 48 states)

Course topics include:
•    Firearm familiarization
•    Assembly / Build
•    Maintenance / Inspection
•    Gauging techniques
•    Failure / Malfunction resolution
•    Care and Cleaning

Class begins each day at 8:30 a.m. and generally lasts until 3:00 p.m. (If you plan to travel home by air on the last day, please be prepared to stay until the end of the course.)

During the registration process you will be able to choose the model, caliber, and color of your REC7 rifle. The course will be closed to further applications four weeks prior to the start date of the course.

If you reside in Tennessee, you may file a form 4473 in order to take your rifle or pistol home at the end of the course. Questions regarding particular state law provisions should be referred to your local ATF office. If we have to ship your newly completed build, shipping will be included in the cost of the course.  All local transfer fees would apply at your dealer of choice.

Manual and armorer tools are provided by Barrett for use during the course.

•    Rifle case for transport (if you are planning to take receipt immediately after the course)
