This one-day (8 hr) course is geared toward MRAD® owners, law enforcement and military personnel, and gunsmiths. It covers depot level maintenance to keep these Barrett bolt action rifles in top operating condition. Taught by seasoned Barrett armorers, the course covers operational theory, troubleshooting and in-depth maintenance procedures. Upon successful completion of the course, each student is presented with a manufacturer certification of completion which is valid for three years.
Course topics include:
• History of the rifles
• Disassembly/reassembly of complete rifles
• Rifle function and troubleshooting
• Depot Level maintenance
• Gauging techniques
• Identification of Common Problems
• Cleaning and lubrication
Class begins at 8:30 a.m. and generally lasts until 4:30 p.m. (If you plan to travel home by air afterward, please be prepared to stay until the end of the course.) Rifles and other tools are provided by Barrett for use during the course.
